Opening Celebration Includes Free Thickburgers for a Year and Breakfast for Early Birds
TARBORO, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2016) – The opening of the new Hardee’s® of Tarboro kicks off today followed in a few days with planned promotional activities including the opportunity for early risers to win free Thickburgers® for a year.
The new Hardee’s at 700 Western Blvd. opened promptly at 5 a.m. Planned opening celebration activities will follow on Saturday, Feb. 27. That morning, in conjunction with radio station WPWZ 95.5, the first 95 people in line at opening at 5 a.m. will receive free Thickburgers for a year (coupons for one a week). Those first guests also will get a free Made From ScratchTM Sausage Biscuit and a beverage that morning.
On Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., WPWZ will also broadcast from the restaurant with the opportunity to win prizes and to promote the Saturday morning giveaway for early risers. Guests can enjoy a prize wheel giveaway with coupons for free products, Hardee’s logo items and Hardee’s gift cards. Radio station WIKS-FM 101.9 will be on site that Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. with the opportunity to win prizes.
The new Hardee’s employs about 50 people, according to Hardee’s franchise operator Boddie-Noell Enterprises. The company now operates 133 Hardee’s locations throughout North Carolina including several in the surrounding region.
In addition to a menu that is built around the famous Made From Scratch Biscuits, charbroiled 100% Black Angus Beef Thickburgers and Hand-Breaded Chicken TendersTM, the new Hardee’s location also features the chain’s fresh-baked buns for the full selection of 1/3-pound and larger Thickburgers.
Seating up to 69 guests, the new restaurant has a distinctive look with the latest “retro” Hardee’s restaurant design and includes a flatscreen TV in the dining area. The restaurant also has drive-thru service.

Operating hours for the Hardee’s are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
This newest location is the 339th Hardee’s operated by Boddie-Noell, which has been a Hardee’s franchise operator for more than 50 years and is the largest Hardee’s franchisee in the United States.
