Investment in Excellence – The Practice of Peak Performance

Success is the result of knowing where you want to go, and the changes you need to make to get there. Investment in Excellence works because people believe in their ability to make things happen.

Boddie-Noell has helped over 875 team members become aware of what they can become, and then helped facilitate this potential into reality… and we don’t plan on stopping.

James H. Waters Scholarships

We honor James H. Waters, the late vice chairman and chief administrative officer of Boddie-Noell, who realized the importance of education and its role in personal development. We remember Waters by annually awarding  James H. Waters scholarships. Over its 30-year history, this scholarship program has donated more than $500,000 to over 500 deserving students. We encourage the families of our employees to take advantage of this important benefit.

The 2025 application period for the James H. Waters Scholarships is officially open through May 1. Please see this flyer for more details.

Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,000. It’s our hope that these scholarships will assist our employees, their spouses, children or grandchildren in furthering their education.
