New First-of-its-Kind Hardee’s Location Opens May 4 in Chatham County, N.C.

Location features two drive-thru windows and no dine-in service to protect customers

WILSONVILLE, N. C. (May 4, 2021) – The opening of a new Hardee’s® on U.S. 64 is the first of its kind in the nation for the Hardee’s brand with the location designed specifically for off-site dining, addressing consumer preferences for fast service and limited exposure.

The new location at 10544 U.S. Hwy. 64 in Chatham County between Apex and Pittsboro features two drive-thru windows and a walk-up window for ordering with no on-site seating. Customers will also have the options of mobile ordering ahead of time through www.hardees.com or for third-party delivery through Uber Eats.

“This is a smaller, unique new version of a Hardee’s that meets consumer preference for off-premises dining and minimizing potential exposure. It’s a perfect fit for a high-traffic area like we have on U.S. Hwy. 64,” said Mike Boddie, president of Hardee’s franchise operator Boddie-Noell Enterprises which owns and operates the new location. “The idea with the design is to make the ordering and pick-up service as quick and seamless as possible which is the priority of many consumers today.”

In order to meet the customer preference for orders delivered as quickly and safely as possible, the restaurant will have a limited Hardee’s menu. However, it will include the famous Made From ScratchTM Breakfast Biscuits, the Star Burger line, Black Angus charbroiled Thickburgers®, Hand-Breaded Chicken TendersTM and more.

Like other Hardee’s restaurants, this new location will be open seven days a week. It has the new Hardee’s distinctive look with the latest “retro” Hardee’s restaurant design and digital menu boards at both drive-thru windows as well as at the walk-up ordering window.

“We’re really excited to bring this one-of-a-kind Hardee’s concept to the Apex and  Pittsboro area” said Boddie. “As a family-owned company, we look forward to being involved in the community and supporting the growth of the greater region.”

Operating hours for the Hardee’s are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

This newest location is the 343rd Hardee’s operated by Boddie-Noell, which has been a Hardee’s franchise operator for nearly 60 years and is the largest Hardee’s franchisee in the United States.
