Top Boddie-Noell Hardee’s Restaurants and Managers Receive Founders Award for Operational Achievements

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (March 21, 2014) – Boddie-Noell Enterprises presented its annual Founder’s Awards to 10 Hardee’s restaurants, the general managers and two district managers in recognition of operational achievements in 2013.

The Founders Award is the top operational award given by Boddie-Noell, the nation’s largest Hardee’s franchise operator.

Recognition of the annual winners was held recently at the company’s Rose Hill Plantation near Nashville, NC. Recipients received plaques and cash awards for themselves and their restaurant management teams and crews.

“The winners this year really are the best in terms of setting the standard for operating excellence with our Hardee’s restaurants,” said Terry Lewis, divisional vice president of operations for Boddie-Noell. “They are not only excellent operational leaders, but they also serve a variety of roles for the restaurants and crews they work with. They embody the values that Boddie-Noell was founded on and continues with today.”

The award-winning individuals and restaurants represent the best among the 335 Hardee’s locations operated by the company across four states. The winners were selected on an established set of objectives for operational excellence. The award was known until two years ago as the Carleton Noell Achievers award, named after one of the founders of Boddie-Noell which opened its first Hardee’s in 1962.

Senior District Manager Eddie Phillips of Windsor,VA., who manages eight Hardee’s locations in the Tidewater area of Virginia, and District Manager Brant Skidmore who manages seven locations in the Norfolk, VA. area, each won the award based on objectives for district operational leadership

Awards for the individual winning restaurants went to Stacey Owen, senior general manager at the Hardee’s in Dinwiddie – Petersburg, VA; Dwayne Searson, senior general manager (and since promoted to a district manager) of the Hardee’s in Bamberg, S.C.; Darline Cole, general manager of the Hardee’s in Hertford, N.C.; Ike Midgett, general manager of the Hardee’s in Grandy, N.C.; Jackie Scott, senior general manager, at the Hardee’s of Pruden Blvd – Suffolk, VA.; Irene Satterfield, senior general manager of a Hardee’s of Bainbridge Blvd – Chesapeake, VA.; Shanelle Houston, general manager of another Hardee’s of Deep Creek – Chesapeake, VA.; Kelly Flowers, general manager at the Hardee’s in Hampstead, N.C.; Yvette Hicks, general manager of the Hardee’s on Campostella Road – Norfolk, VA., and Jillian Marable, general manager of the Hardee’s of Butner – Creedmoor, N.C.
